Circus

My phone drives me nuts. Unless I have my cellular device in my hand or, it is face down and I have not lost it. I am not aware that my cellular device has received calls or text messages. It is always on silent, seldom in my hand, typically lost. However, the flashlight on it flashes rapidly when it is getting a call or text. Today, I did not even know I had misplaced it. In the distance, I see it flashing rapidly. I did not move to get it. By the time I were to get my oversized geriatric self over to my phone, it will be done ringing. Then I sit staring at it wondering how my phone got on the ground. Rapid flashing again, same thought as a few seconds prior with the addition of maybe I should go get it for the next time it rings. Nope, just as if a light bulb had gone off, I could answer off of my Iwatch. Hear me out, it is an iphone, ipad, why is it an apple watch? It is an Iwatch. It is smic. Smic and Hank bought electric bicycles. Well, Smic has a tricycle, Hanks is a bicycle. Smic and No No decided to go on a bike & trike ride today. Here comes the circus. What I would have given to have been there to witness this firsthand. Keep in mind, No No had ridden Hanks bike a week or so before and broke it…. Hank was not happy about this. Smic and No No loaded up the trike and bike to go for their ride. It goes off without a hitch. Time to load up to head back home. No No was worn out from not using ride assistance. Smic went to load Hank’s bike back up and she said that sucker took off all on its own, I am still laughing due to visualizing this ordeal. She said she could not hold it. It apparently had a mind of its own. Hanks, bike wrecked on its own. Smic and No No tried to fix Hank’s bike but were unsuccessful. Now, I can tell that Smic was inside the house. If I broke Hank’s bike, I am going to try to fix it. It is already broken; how much worse could it get? Smic said it is making a loud noise, and it randomly turns on and off the ride assist. The best part, Smic called Hank at work and was going to tell him about the incident and that his bike is broken again. I am still chuckling as I type. Smic said she could not tell him. She knew he would be grumpy the rest of the time at work. She did not want to ruin his day. Ummm,…. Smic, maybe you should go try to fix it. She said her and No No were worried they would make it worse. Now I do not know the first thing about an e bike. I am guessing they may not be safe. One of my sisters, miss “I am the oldest”, she wrecks hers all of the time and breaks her legs, Hanks takes off on its own and crashes. Since it is an e bike, I just guessed it had a battery. I said send No No out to take the battery out. In true teenager fashion, No No went, not without complaining, and was right back in and stated it did not fix it. I said Smic, I think maybe you should leave the battery out a bit. She goes outside at this point. She recognizes that the clicking noise it is making is an easy fix. I forgot to say that the fender got a little bent. Smic straightened it, however it was still making a “clicking” sound. Smic had taken the battery out and left it out while making the clicking repair. She put it back in and sent No No off to test it out. It is fixed,… for now.  Then Smic tells me about this fella who was at their location possibly eating his lunch. I wish I had been that person, she said the fella stared and watched them struggling to load Hank’s broken bike. She said once her and No No got it loaded; the fella backed out and drove away slowly all while staring.

When we were little, Hank was always making dirt ramps to jump his bicycle over. We did not have e bikes. We had me bikes. Meaning if you wanted it to go, you had to pedal that sucker to go.  He swears up and down it one of our other sister’s banana bikes. I still think it was mine. Anyway, Hank broke that bike in half jumping it over one of his dirt ramps. I do not feel bad about Hank’s e bike being messed up.

Moral of the story, always always have your camera rolling when you are about to be the ring leader of the circus. I can totally see smic and No No staring at each other when this e bike takes off. Mouths hung wide open, eyes bigger than silver dollars.
